CNTraveller’s whole site wasn’t mobile friendly so we were approached to completely re-design the site. This is the best project I’ve worked on as I was given the freedom to role with it, with an extended budget and timeline. We created a destination search on the homepage for users who knew exactly what they were looking for but also inspirations for those who just wanted to browse. We gave the editors functionality to put huge beautiful pictures on the homepage with different styles for each type of article.
The article pages were changed to host large images with quotes, videos, advertising, a huge photo gallery and different font styles. We included related content on the bottom of the articles to increase browsing time on the site.
The location pages were created for easy browsing with tips and related articles. Time on site drastically increased after the launch.
On top of this, all pages were now able to support responsive adverts which generated extra income for the magazine.
